John Davies (Chairman)
(Date of Appointment 14 February 2006; became Chairman 21 April 2010)
(age 63) is a director of Blackrock Smaller Companies Trust plc. He was Managing Director of 3i Asset Management Ltd (1985-2002) and was a member of the London Stock Exchange working party that established AIM in 1995. He has extensive experience of smaller quoted companies, particularly where there has been private equity shareholders on flotation. John has a special interest in portfolio construction, the merits of investment vehicles and their risk profiles.

Gillian Nott OBE
(Date of Appointment 14 June 2010)
(age 64) has in-depth experience of private investors as chief executive of ProShare (1994-1999). Previously she was responsible for the private equity portfolio at BP and has been on the board of the FSA. She is currently a non executive director of investment trusts at Black Rock and Martin Currie and is chairman of Witan Pacific Investment Trust plc. She is also on the board of Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society, and a deputy chairman of the Association of Investment Companies. Gill is a non executive Director of Baronsmead VCT 2 and Baronsmead VCT 3 and was Chairman of Baronsmead VCT until its Annual General Meeting on 14 December 2009, where she led the Board and helped pioneer the investor relations activities with the shareholders of Baronsmead VCT. 

Clive Parritt
(Date of Appointment 14 February 2006)
(age 66) is a chartered accountant with over 30 years' experience of providing strategic, financial and commercial advice to medium sized businesses. Until February 2001 he was chairman of Baker Tilly having been its national managing partner for ten years until June 1996. He is Vice President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and chairman of DiGiCo Europe Limited and of BG Consulting Group Limited as well as a director of London & Associated Properties PLC and F&C US Smaller Companies PLC.  Previously he has chaired or been a director of a number of investment trusts, VCTs and media businesses.  He is also Chairman of Baronsmead VCT 2 plc.

Charles Pinney
(Date of Appointment 11 December 2008)
(age 62) is Chairman of ProVen Health VCT plc, a non-executive director of Noble AIM VCT plc and was until 2009 a consultant to Rathbones Investment Management. He previously held positions in the private client departments for Barclays Private Bank, BZW and Lazard Brothers and is a former director of the Association of Private Client Stockbrokers and Managers (APCIMS).
