Baronsmead is a highly respected family of five VCT funds known for delivering long-term growth and generating tax-free dividends. More specifically, The Baronsmead VCTs are quoted vehicles which spread their assets across a diversified portfolio of private equity investments in unquoted companies and AiM shares.

Our VCT funds offer investors exposure to a diversified portfolio of private equity and AiM shares, targeting consistent absolute returns through capital growth and dividend yield. As the shares are quoted, they offer the opportunity for private individuals to gain exposure to private equity. UK income tax payers can receive tax incentives by subscribing to and owning VCT shares, and investing in this asset class.

VCT leaders

Baronsmead launched one of the first VCTs in 1995 and has become one of the leading groups of VCTs. We now have approximately £233m under management across the five VCTs as of 31 December 2009. 

Experienced boards of directors

Each of the five VCTs has an independent board of directors: typically, four directors with complementary and relevant experience. The board for each VCT monitors performance of shareholders' funds and manages the future strategy and direction of fund.

Leading investment manager

The investment management activities of the Baronsmead VCTs are undertaken by ISIS EP LLP (ISIS), a leading mid-market private equity investment manager.

ISIS stimulates investment performance by building knowledge within its chosen sectors and actively managing their investments. It's a winning strategy that has been recognised by key awards:
